The government is in the process of improving Mice venue standards nationwide. The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has seen progress in setting Thai Mice venue standards while encouraging other countries in Southeast Asia to jointly develop Asean Mice standards. TCEB president Nopparat Maythaveekulchai said there are six key areas of focus in the 2015-19 master plan for Thai Mice venue standards. Fifth, the bureau will drive Thailand Mice venue standards to be widely recognised and encourage other Asean countries to jointly develop Mice venue standards in the region. Sixth, it will drive and sustain Thailand Mice venue standards in the long-term by working with key stakeholders to help educate and encourage Mice venue operators to join the Thailand Mice Venue Standard (TMVS) programme.
